Sewing with Sew & Co
Fine motor skills with a modern twist!
Sew & Co is a fine motor skill program that teaches hand and machine sewing for children PP to Year 8.
Our sewing program runs after school during each school term. Programs are structured to enable students to learn a new skill every week during the different stages of their projects. Sew & Co covers everything from hand and machine sewing, embroidery, working with patterns, creating designs and mood boards, choosing fabrics and so much more!
Classes include mixed ages however with only 12 students per class projects are individually focussed for beginner, intermediate or advanced levels of sewing. Projects are carefully considered for students so they can be proud of their completed projects at the end of each term. At Sew & Co students are encouraged to be conscious about clothing production and gain from the incredible value and reward of making their own creations.
All sewing classes at Sew & Co include the use of our machines, fabrics and sewing materials.
A material cost is included in the payment of the program to cover items needed for projects. If there are individual project requests there may be an additional cost or extra materials may need to be supplied (e.g. for projects requiring larger amounts of fabric).
The Sew & Co program encourages students to have the freedom to choose their own designs, motifs, colours, buttons, beads, ribbon, thread, zips and fabrics from the diverse selection of Sew & Co stock. Our supplies are forever changing with each new season and project theme!
